The department deals with ancient icons from all over the Orthodox world, from Byzantine to Venetian-Cretan works, from Russian to Coptic tables, highlighting geographical areas and schools of origin, thus providing collectors and buyers with objects of great historical and artistic interest interpreted from an iconographic point of view.

The department is directed by Stefania Verità, who has a degree in art history and has been studying and restoring ancient Orthodox icons for 25 years, trying to shed light on schools and artistic matrices. She is an expert, curates important private collections, collaborates in the realization of exhibitions and catalogs and holds numerous conferences.
